Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Pre-Health Action Plan due?
It is preferred that your Pre-Health Action Plan be completed at the time of scheduling your appointment; however, students have until the start time of their advising appointment to submit.
How do I submit my Pre-Health Action Plan?
Please submit your Pre-Health Action Plan here: forms.office.com/r/AQVF7w2Uwc

What do you mean by “complete each section to the best of your ability?”
The goal of this document is to fully prepare students to applying to health professional school and exposing them early to the requirements to do so. When you apply, the process is extremely time-consuming and we hope to alleviate that burden by encouraging you to start early documenting your progress. Every applicant’s journey looks different, so it would be impossible to have the expectation of specific required sections.
For a first-year student, it is understandable that you may not have taken any coursework yet, so you are unable to calculate a GPA; however, it would be expected to have the first page and Coursework sections completed. In contrast, a student applying this upcoming cycle would be expected to have a majority (if not all) sections of this document to be completed. If you have questions or would like confirmation that your Pre-Health Action Plan is acceptable before scheduling, please email [email protected].
What happens if I do not complete my Pre-Health Action Plan by the start of the appointment?
The action plan is designed to ensure an efficient and productive advising meeting and move you toward your health profession goals. If you are unable to complete the appropriate portions of the plan by your scheduled appointment time, consider rescheduling to a later date so that we can maximize our time together.
What if I am unsure if my Pre-Health Action Plan is complete or have questions about it?
We recommend emailing [email protected] or attending Pre-Health Drop-Ins.
Do I still need to complete a Pre-Health Action Plan if I’ve already submitted my application to health professional school?
No. Students that have already submitted their health professional school application may substitute the Pre-Health Action Plan with a PDF of their verified application.
What if I want to meet to discuss the possibility of becoming a Pre-Health student?
Please email [email protected] with questions or attend Pre-Health Drop-Ins before scheduling an appointment in Navigate.
