Advising Appointments

Scheduled Appointments

Scheduled appointments are reserved for current students or alumni working towards applying to health professional school. All students and alumni scheduling appointments will be required to submit their Pre-Health Action Plan by the start time of their appointment. 

Drop-In Hours

Drop-ins are brief meetings of 10 minutes or less and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis for current students only; no appointment required. For more in-depth questions or concerns, please schedule a 1:1 advising appointment.

Late Appointment Policy

Students who are anticipate being 10 minutes or more late for an appointment should login, cancel, and reschedule through Patriot Connect. Failure to cancel in advance or not showing for 2 scheduled appointments within 14 days will result in you being temporarily blocked from using the student scheduling system. No same day advising appointments for cancelled appointments.

Who can sign up for an appointment?

Any current George Mason student or alum interested in applying to dental, medical, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, podiatry, speech-language pathology, and veterinary schools.

  • If you are interested in nursing, please schedule with a College of Public Health (CPH) advisor. For more information on scheduling, please visit the CPH Advising page.

Prospective students or newly admitted students are welcome to email [email protected] with questions but advising appointments are limited to current students and alums.

Where are appointments located?

Appointments are available virtually via Zoom or in-person in the Johnson Center, 2nd floor, room 228 (Undergraduate Education suite). When you sign up for an appointment in Patriot Connect, you’ll be able to indicate whether you prefer a virtual or in-person appointment. 

If you choose to sign up for a virtual appointment, the Zoom link will be included in your email confirmation. Emails are sent to George Mason email addresses. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders. If you don’t receive a Zoom link by the day of your appointment, please email [email protected]. Zoom allows you to connect via video or audio chat using a phone, computer, or tablet.
