Guidance for Recommendations

Recommendation ratings are based on the holistic evaluation rubric.

A cover sheet and supplemental evaluation forms should accompany your letter of recommendation to give Dr. Chuck and the committee a basis for norming your evaluation against the holistic evaluation rubric.

Instructions to send letters of recommendation

• Mailed copy of signed coversheet, evaluation forms, and recommendation letter on letterhead to the address on the coversheet or the address at the footer of this website. Campus mail is encouraged for GMU evaluators.
• Email attachment (PDF preferred) of signed coversheet, evaluation forms, and reccmmendation letter on letterhead to Dr. Chuck whose email address is on the coversheet. A PDF with all items scanned in would be acceptable.
• veCollect. The student should provide the evaluator with a coversheet with instructions to send the letter to veCollect by email or fax. In addition, a separate email will be sent to evaluators to fill out an online evaluation form to assist the MSAC with its final evaluation.

Any questions on transmitting letters of recommendation to the MSAC can be directed to Dr. Chuck.

Applicants who have a prior account with Interfolio should also communicate with Dr. Chuck to coordinate delivery of all letters of reference.
